Welcome to my website, host to a number of personal projects and things I’m hopefully working on unless I gave up and quit but continued to pay the hosting cost. While most of what I work on is presented as a visual medium, I want to add something for people with visual impairments, or just have a screen reader or Text to speech turned on. Or robots or whoever. Not even sure how you found this website in the first place. I will assume you, like me are prone to making frequent mistakes, blunders, boners even. Because you, like me, don’t learn. Won’t learn. And discourage others from learning. Actively making the world around you stupider with your boner-prone jackassery that lead to this stupid boner jackass site by this stupid boner jackass author being narrated by this stupid boner jackass software or worse, a stupid boner jackass actual person who you’ve also dragged in to what appears to be a stupid boner jackass Ponzi scheme that I started as the Number One head Boner Queen. While I can’t get you your money back, and will refuse to publicly apologize or admit any kind of wrong doing, I can narrate your way through this forest of boners not only describing what is going in to these pages, but also what I was thinking. There’s that quote from whoever… maybe mark twain… “It’s better to remain silent and be thought a stupid boner jackass, than to speak and remove all doubt.” … Probably not mark twain. Possibly Mark Hamill. doesn’t matter, point is I love D.VD commentary tracks and I wish they would come back but now everything’s streaming and my boomer millennial ass can’t listen to a bored actor talking delving into the minutiae of the filming process trying to run out the clock on their contractual obligation. Also just a heads up there’s going to be a lot of swearing and other not safe for work stuff on the site, the content is intended for an adult audience. I’d say mature but the boner count is at 10 already so that’s definitely not the case. One of two things happened when I put this in, the CSS made this string of text look like a common separator, or it failed and there’s a wall of text now that’s visibly exposed and taking up a huge chunk of real estate. Either way featured above this is the Banner image that says “Neon Gigas”, the name of the site. I attempted to render it as kind of a black plastic with a red led neon style light running through the insets of each letter. The style is large and rounded on the N-E-O and “I” that hopefully evokes kind of a Nintendo and SEGA kind of branding the G is kind of a weird amalgamation of what looks like a speedometer or some kind, or maybe a football helmet, I dunno I think it was originally going to be some kind of headgear but looking at it now I’m not so sure I knew what I was going for. The A and S are kind of a retro future style you’d see similar to a 50s drive-in sign. The name “Neon Gigas” was something I adopted for the project when I was thinking back to things that made me happy. I loved playing, and I’m going to try to do this phonetically for the screen reader… Secret of Mah Nah , The second Say Ken Den Set suh game. I loved fighting the different Insert Element Gigas, that was just a giant gnome troll thing but I liked how vivid they looked. I chose Neon as the element seeing as how this was late twenty tens and everything was trying to be all eighties about it so it seemed fitting. Just looked it up out of curiosity and they used the katakana spelling of gigas in the Japanese version of the game, so it wasn’t just some translator getting cute but the game dev. Most all the bosses seem to have Romanized names. Interesting enough “Spikey Tiger” was originally Tiger Chimera, learn something every day.
